Strictly Come Dancing 2019: Emma Barton win sealed after Anton Du Beke drops cryptic clue?

Last weekend Strictly Come Dancing took a trip to Blackpool for the annual evening of glitz and glamour in the home of ballroom. Emma Barton and Anton Du Beke wowed judges with their American Smooth and received their first tens of the series and Anton’s first ever tens in the competition. After their impressive performance, will Emma walk away with the Glitterball Trophy on the BBC show?

Critiquing their performance, Bruno said: “Glamorous, glossy, classy, sophisticated and it’s not me it’s her.

“It was like watching one of those 1940s movie queens, you really had the character down to a T.”

“Absolutely beautiful movement around the floor,” Craig added. “Elegant, graceful, I did feel like your face was like a china doll, one expression throughout, sorry just my opinion.”

Craig gave the pair an eight, Motsi Mabuse marked them nine and both Shirley Ballas and Bruno gave the couple tens.

“This is how Kevin Clifton feels it’s lovely,” the stalwart joked.

After joining in the 11th series, Kevin and his celebrity partners were crowned runners-up in the first four series he competed in.

Susanna Reid, Frankie Bridge, Kellie Bright and Louise Redknapp all made it to the final of the BBC show.

Last year, Kevin won the 16th series of the competition with Stacey Dooley.

In contrast, Anton has yet to lift the Glitterball Trophy despite taking part in all 17 series.

But since achieving a show first with his American Smooth with Emma, could Anton go on to win the show for the very first time?

The stalwart’s comment about his co-star’s impressive track record on the show could suggest he has high hopes for the EastEnders star.

Will Anton and Emma scoop the top prize or will hot favourites Kevin Clifton and Oti Mabuse be crowned champions?

Strictly Come Dancing continues Saturday on BBC One at 7.15pm.
