“We went with Minions and it ended up being a massive turning point for me and Stacey on Strictly,” he added.
After winning the Glitterball trophy, Stacey and Kevin hit the headlines after her ex-boyfriend Sam Tucknott revealed they had split.
In a candid interview with The Sun back in April, the personal trainer said they were no longer an item and she was now in a relationship with Kevin.
At the time, Stacey and Kevin didn’t respond to the claims, but she has since addressed their romance.
She told The Guardian: “Kev and I have agreed not to go into too much detail about our private lives because you can’t really indulge that and then ask for privacy.
“That’s why we’ve turned down interviews that have offered us tens of thousands of pounds.”
She went on to say: “What I am happy to say is Kev’s amazing, I’m happy, life happens, I’ve got an amazing career and I’m very lucky.”
