Declan Donnelly: 'So accident prone!' I'm A Celebrity host unveils another injury on show

Declan Donnelly, 44, has admitted he is “accident prone” at the moment after worrying viewers with two visible injuries within a week during his on-screen appearances for I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!. The presenter, who hosts the ITV show with his pal Ant McPartlin, 44, wore a skin-coloured plaster, which was wrapped around his index finger, while presenting last night’s episode.

Although Dec didn’t address the injury on the show, he took the opportunity to make light of the situation after a fan quizzed him on the plaster.

They tweeted the star: “Dec mate stop with the injuries please, first the burnt arm now you’ve cut your finger?? We worry!!!!”

Dec attempted to reassure the viewer as he responded in view of his and Ant’s 6.8 million followers: “So accident prone atm! D x.”

The TV personality’s revelation comes after he put a red wound on display while wearing a short-sleeved shirt in the first episode of this year’s series.

Elsewhere, Ant and Dec teamed up to hit back at Piers Morgan after he responded to their swipe about him.

The Geordie duo jokingly said I’m A Celebrity 2019 contestant Kate Garraway would be facing a “huge challenge”.

Ant went on to quip: “But before she goes back to work with Piers Morgan, she’s got three weeks in the jungle!”

Piers addressed their jibe on Good Morning Britain, exclaiming: “It took Ant and Dec about three seconds (to mention me),” before he impersonated the duos’ Geordie accent and repeated the joke.

Ant and Dec shared an article about the outspoken journalist’s words on Twitter and captioned the post: “Snowflake.”

Piers then responded to the pair’s tweet, writing: “At least I have my own Twitter account & don’t have to share one with my mate.”

The duo replied: “Oh yeah? Well our dads are bigger than your dad. Grow up you big wally! [Crying with laughter emoji].”

Piers quipped in response: “A) They’re not. B) I really wouldn’t play the growth card.”

I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! airs tonight at 9pm on ITV.
