Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp suffers Mohamed Salah and Andrew Robertson injury blow

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is reportedly set to be without Mohamed Salah and Andrew Robertson for Saturday’s trip to Crystal Palace.

Salah and Robertson have both been suffering with ankle injuries and were monitored during the international break.

Neither featured for their nations, instead undergoing rehabilitation for their injuries.

But reports now suggest that the pair have not recovered and will miss Liverpool’s Premier League trip to Selhurst Park.

Salah has been struggling since a tackle by Leicester midfielder Hamza Choudhury at the beginning of October.

He missed the clash against Manchester United and aggravated the injury during the win over Manchester City.

Boss Klopp had revealed that Salah had been having his foot drained ahead of that clash.

The German said: “I think it is more really annoying – for him, not me – the fact that the injury always has a bit of fluid in, and he has to deal with it, we get it out and it comes back, and stuff like that.”

Robertson has had a swollen ankle though was left frustrated by missing Scotland’s Euro 2020 qualifiers with Cyprus and Kazakhstan.

The full-back said: “I don’t care what game it is, I want to play it and my track record in the last five years has shown that.

“But I don’t want to pick up more injuries and ruin my season because of it.

“I’ve had to listen to the people around me when previously I would have told them to beat it. The fact my ankle has swollen up again has made it easier to miss these games.

“For the last two and a half weeks I’ve not trained at all for Liverpool.

“I’ve trained the day before a game, missed a Champions League game other than the last 15 minutes against Genk and missed Arsenal in the League Cup.”
