EastEnders spoilers: Lauren Branning’s return sealed ahead of Max Branning proposal?

EastEnders fans saw Lauren Branning (Jaqueline Jossa) leave the BBC soap back in February 2018 after the death of her sister, Abi (Lorna Fitzgerald). But she’s hinted that there could be a space for a return for the character in the near future as her dad Max (Jake Wood), plans on propsoing to his girlfirend, Ruby Allen (Louisa Lytton) in coming scenes.

The 27-year-old actress is currently starring in the extreme reality series, I’m A Celebrity which has seen her tackle her worst fears as she challenges herself in the Australian jungle.

But before her stint on the show, she spoke to the Daily Star about a potential return for the fan favourite character to Walford.

She said: “I think time would have to be right for EastEnders. The time isn’t right yet for me.”

“It’s too soon, I think, to be honest. I don’t really think Lauren Branning is missed necessarily.

Viewers have watched as Max an Ruby grow closer as their relationship continues to blossom.

And, it looks as though she will have a huge decision to make about the pair’s future in upcoming episodes, after Max takes their relationship to the next level.

After he’s left humiliated in Ruby’s nightclub after a waiter mistakes him for her father, he feels as though he needs to up his game.

His brother Jack Branning (Scott Maslen) and Jean Slater (Gillian Wright) will also enjoy winding him up over the remark, which only fuels his need to make the ultimate commitment to his girlfriend.

He decides he wants to ask for Ruby’s hand in marriage and goes to Bobby Beale (Clay Milner-Russell) to lend him a favour.

But, Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt) overhears their conversation and plans an extravagant do to make sure everyone witnesses Max’s upcoming proposal.
