Piers Morgan: Ant and Dec tell GMB host to 'grow up' after cheeky swipe on I'm A Celebrity

On Monday, I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! host Declan Donnelly, 44, told viewers that Piers Morgan’s co-star Kate Garraway, 52, would be facing a “huge challenge”. Ant McPartlin, 44, then quipped: “But before she goes back to work with Piers Morgan, she’s got three weeks in the jungle!”

Speaking on Good Morning Britain yesterday, Piers addressed their comments.

He said: “It took Ant and Dec about three seconds (to mention me),” before he impersonated the duos’ Geordie accent and repeated the joke.

His co-star Susanna Reid then joked: “They couldn’t afford you so they mention you at every opportunity.”

Following this, Ant and Dec shared an article regarding Piers’ response to the joke in view of his 6.76 million followers.

He replied: “She was genuinely in two minds because if you get bounced out straight away it can be quite humiliating.”

So far on the show, Piers’ co-star has seemingly been enjoying her jungle experience.

Last night, she undertook the challenge Bugged Out alongside Keeping Up With The Kardashians star Caitlyn Jenner.

The duo dropped balls into a moving basket below a cage in a bid to win meals for camp, while being smothered in creepy crawlies.

The challenge proved difficult for the pair as they received four out of 10 potential stars.

Despite this, Kate was moved to the luxury camp alongside Nadine Coyle, Adele Roberts, Roman Kemp and Myles Stephenson.

Good Morning Britain continues today at 6.30am on ITV.

I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! continues tonight at 9pm on ITV.
