These are your new PlayStation Store releases this week

With this week’s new PlayStation Store’s releases, transform a primitive tribe into the world’s most powerful nation, continue a long-awaited journey of revenge, or seek out fortune and glory in a treacherous fantasy setting.

And even if none of those adventures – be it Sid Meier’s Civilization VI, Shenmue III or Golem – appeal, there are plenty more games to choose from.

Take a look at the highlights, as well as the full list of the week’s releases, below*.

Shenmue III | Available: Tuesday 19th November

Why it should be on your radar:

A journey 18 years in the making, Yu Suzuki’s sequel promises to retain much of the flavour that made its predecessors so groundbreaking on their debut. The continuation of Ryo Hazuki’s journey to avenge his father will give fans exactly what they’ve been clamouring for these past two decades.

Golem |Available: Monday 18th November

Why it should be on your radar:

Highwire Games’ ambitious fantasy adventure finally launches on PS VR. It sees you pilot a golem warrior as you explore a vast city, one that hides treasure and danger in equal measure.

The threat of losing all your collectables upon death heightens the tension of exploration and adds an additional edge to first-person melee combat, which favours strategic strikes and careful blocking over mindless button-mashing.

Sid Meier’s Civilization VI | Available: Friday 22nd November

Why it should be on your radar:

Firaxis Games, the studio behind the excellent XCOM games, trades alien invasions for world-building as it brings its turn-based strategy expertise to the acclaimed Civilization series. The PS4 release packs in all the updates and additional societies that have been added to the PC version post-launch.
