Black Friday itself doesn’t land until Friday November 29 this time around. But that isn’t stopping retailers offering huge price drops and discounts on high-ticket items for those who want to get their Christmas shopping in early.
The high street store – including Argos, Currys, and John Lewis – have also rolled-out a few cunning ploys to ensure there is less incentive to hammer their staff with thousands of orders at 00.01am on one particular day.
John Lewis is offering to price match any of its competitors, so you’ll be able to get a refund of the different on any items that you’ve bought in the sale that drop to a new low on Black Friday itself. Never knowing undersold, indeed! Meanwhile, Currys PC World is already rolling-out its Black Friday 2019 prices on a number of items, so there’s no need to hold-off. The store is cheekily calling the sale the “Why Wait?” deal.
Amazon, GAME, and others have also started to launch countdown sales, discounts, and endless webpages of discounts. These cover a huge range of items, including sought-after Christmas gifts (for those closest to you, or yourself – there’s no judgement here) including the likes of recent Apple Watch models, 50-inch Ultra HD TVs, iPads, AirPods, Dyson vacuum cleaners, and much more.
