PS4 DOWN: PSN Server status update for PlayStation 4 Nat Type failed offline issues

UPDATE: It looks like the PSN server problems could be linked to a big BT outage.

Down Detector has received thousands of reports claiming that broadband services are down throughout the UK.

It would make sense given that most of the problems appear to be network based.

ORIGINAL: PSN servers are currently down, leaving PS4 owners unable to play games online.

The PSN server status makes grim reading for fans, who have complained about not being able to access the PlayStation Network.

Independent website Down Detector has received hundreds of reports that PSN isn’t working.

The outage tracker monitors social mentions around certain topics to detect when services go down across the world.

The Down Detector outage map shows that the PSN issues are affecting users in the UK and Europe.

Japanese PSN users are also experiencing problems with the reliability of the network on PS4.

Most users are complaining about a Nat Type failed offline issue plaguing the service.

Fans have bombarded Sony with questions about the offline outage on social media.

“@PlayStationUK what’s the issue with network?? Keep getting NAT Type failing. Have reset router, PS4, turned PS4 off….several times…yet still failing??”

The Ask PlayStation account has responded to fans, telling them to visit the Fix and Connect page on the Sony website.

“Hi there, sorry to hear that! Can you check your current connection with the console using these steps and let us know the results,” Ask Sony tweets.

Fans can get more information by visiting the Sony website.
