Denis Zakaria boost

Manchester United have been boosted after it has emerged that Liverpool are not interested in signing Denis Zakaria, reports claim.

According to Sky Germany, the Reds were said to be keeping tabs on the midfielder as well as United and Arsenal.

But now those claims have been shot down by The Athletic, who say Liverpool are not interested.

They report that Jurgen Klopp is happy with his midfield options and is therefore not on the lookout for another in January.

Nemanja Matic bid

West Ham are eager to sign Manchester United outcast Nemanja Matic in January.

That’s according to 90min, who say the London club are a ‘possible option’ for the veteran midfielder, who earns £120k per week at Old Trafford.

Matic, 31, has fallen down the pecking order and is reported to be pushing for a January exit.

AC Milan and Inter Milan are thought to be keen on the Serbia international, whose contract will expire at the end of the season should United not activate their one-year extension clause.

Piotr Zielinski possiblity

Liverpool could potentially resurrect a deal for Napoli midfielder Piotr Zielinski.

The Reds came close to signing the Poland international in 2016 and rumours went into overdrive when the player was pictured wearing a Liverpool shirt on a television show.

The deal didn’t happen and Napoli snapped him up from Udinese for a bargain £14million.

However, Italian newspaper La Repubblica claim Napoli are considering selling the 25-year-old after ‘exhausting’ contract discussions have failed.

The newspaper continues to say that Jurgen Klopp personally spoke with the player and praised his display after Liverpool’s Champions League defeat in Naples.

It’s claimed Zielinski would ‘reflect on his future’ if Klopp decided to come knocking.

Arsenal vs Tottenham

Arsenal and Tottenham are competing to sign Napoli star Dries Mertens.

That’s according to Italian publication Il Mattino, who claim the Premier League duo have registered their interest in the 32-year-old.

Mertens’ contract expires in June 2020 and he’ll be eligible to sign a pre-contract agreement with clubs outside of Italy in January.

Juventus, AC Milan and Inter have also been linked with the Belgian international.

Kylian Mbappe to Real Madrid

Real Madrid are considering a world-record move for PSG star Kylian Mbappe.

The 20-year-old superstar joined PSG for £165million in August 2017 and has since become the most valuable player in world football.

Now, Le Parisien claim Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is willing to smash the current £198m world-record transfer fee paid by PSG to sign Neymar from Barcelona.

It’s reported that Real world offer up £343million for the French World Cup winner, who has scored a staggering 96 goals and provided 52 assists in 158 appearances in all competitions for Monaco and PSG.
