UFC HW champ Stipe Miocic bluntly warns Tyson Fury after Dana White shares training clip

UFC heavyweight champion Stipe Miocic has sent a warning Tyson Fury’s way after seeing the boxer train with Darren Till.

Last weekend, footage of the lineal heavyweight champion training with the UFC middleweight contender was released by their promotion company MTK Global.

One of the videos, which saw Till holding Thai pads for Fury, quickly began to do the rounds and caught the eye of UFC president Dana White.

Seemingly impressed by what he saw of Fury, White shared the video on his Twitter and Instagram pages.

The video soon came to the attention of Miocic, who was quick to issue ‘The Gypsy King’ a warning. The 37-year-old tweeted: “Tyson_Fury, be careful what you wish for.”

The video of Fury training with Till prompted fight fans to wonder if the boxing superstar is serious about transitioning into mixed martial arts, which he’s alluded to on multiple occasions in recent weeks.

The prospect of Fury competing in MMA was put to White earlier this month during the UFC 244 post-fight press conference, in which he revealed he didn’t fancy the 31-year-old’s chances in the Octagon.

“Fury’s worked hard his whole life to become one of the top four [heavyweights] in the world in boxing,” White told the assembled media at Madison Square Garden.

“Why would you wanna even come over and attempt this? I don’t think it ends well for him. It doesn’t make sense for his career.”

A few days later, White added: “Listen, anything’s possible. If Tyson Fury wants to fight in MMA, I’ve got a ton of guys that would love to fight him. I just don’t know why.

“Promoted the right way, [Fury] could be a part of 3 or 4 of the biggest fights in heavyweight [boxing] history. Why come over and get smashed when you could stay there?”

Fury’s next fight is expected to take place in the boxing world, with his long-awaited rematch with WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder – who he fought to a memorable draw last December – tentatively scheduled for February 22.
