Horse racing tips today: Who to back at Newcastle, Hexham, Chelmsford, Warwick, Fontwell

On his latest outing the gelding lost nothing defeat when chasing home Klassical Dream, a leading hope for this season’s Champion Hurdle, at the Cheltenham Festival in March.

Olly Murphy, the gelding’s trainer, has been pleased with his schooling sessions and the six-year-old is expected to reach the top over fences.

Leighton Aspell, 43, might be one of oldest riding over jumps but remains at the top of profession and is worth following at Fontwell.

Aspell can successfully team up with SENSULANO (2.00, nb) in the EBF Chase. This smart performer over hurdles made a promising chasing debut when chasing home Poker Play at Ffos Las last month.

A repeat of that running will enable her to take this moderate contest, especially as she has valuable experience over fences, unlike some of her rivals.

MYSTIC DREAMER (3.05, nap) can complete a double for Aspell in the Maiden Hurdle.

The five-year-old beat a smart field in a bumper at Cheltenham on her latest start in April and there is no reason why she cannot replicate that form over hurdles.
