Parts of the ceiling fell down from the theatre’s upper circle.
Over 1,000 people were evacuated as four were taken to the hospital after three men and two women were treated at the scene by paramedics.
The Ambassador Theatre group said: “We are ascertaining the extent of the situation, and will be providing an update on future performances as soon as possible.”
The play, starring Wendell Pierce as Willy Loman, opened on Monday of this week.
Wendell was filmed addressing the disappointed theatre crowds after the evacuation in a clip that was shared on social media.
