GTA 5 Online and Red Dead Redemption 2 fans can be paid at least over £100 by Rockstar Games for helping address issues in the popular blockbuster games.
This week saw Rockstar Games release Red Dead Redemption 2 on PCs, which marks the first game in the Red Dead series to hit consoles.
That means the two latest hits from Rockstar – GTA 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2 – are available right now on PCs and on consoles.
And in the aftermath of the Red Dead Redemption 2 PC launch it’s been revealed that Rockstar Games are offering fans a tempting deal.
Back in 2017 Rockstar Games partnered with cybersecurity programme HackerOne to stop security and hacking issues for Grand Theft Auto Online.
This has now been widened to include Red Dead Redemption 2 on PS4, Xbox One and PCs as well as the GTA Online and RDR2 mobile apps.
Successful submissions for in-game security issues or security issues that could expose user data will pay out a minimum of $150 (£116).
The changes to the HackerOne Rockstar Games programme were highlighted in a post by Rockstar Intel.
The HackerOne Rockstar Games website says in the past 90 days they’ve received 55 reports, and 100 per cent of these reports met standards.
Stats also show that in total 287 members of the HackerOne community have been thanked for Rockstar Games reports they’ve made.

Outlining the changes to the Rockstar Games programme, HackerOne said: “We have an announcement regarding our invite-only private program.
“To date, the private program has been a targeted bounty campaign to root out a very specific type of potential vulnerability in Grand Theft Auto Online.
“However, we are happy to announce that beginning today, we will now be accepting a wider variety of vulnerability reports for in-scope vulnerability categories for the following titles.
“Grand Theft Auto V and Grand Theft Auto Online on the following platforms: PS4, Xbox One, PC.
“Red Dead Redemption 2 and Red Dead Online on the following platforms: PS4, Xbox One, PC.
“Red Dead Redemption 2 Companion App, iFruit Mobile App.
“The full scope and eligibility requirements can be found on the landing page of the private program.
“If you have not already done so, you may apply for an invitation to the private program by completing the enrollment form here.
“We will not accept reports pertaining to in-game vulnerabilities that are submitted to the public program page.
“If you wish to submit an in-game vulnerability, you must do so through the private program.
“Thank you, and we hope to see you in the private program!”
