The former BBC Breakfast host added: “I do feel psychically a lot better – psychologically a little different as you have ups and downs.”
Bill went on to explain how he feels “great most of the time”, but commented on the nature of battling cancer in the West.
Explaining how he will be heading straight for chemotherapy at Royal Marsden after the show, the journalist added: “We do have an attitude where we fix the problem with surgery.
“At the same time, I feel maybe we can try and see ourselves from within – this illness is a part of me, I’m not going to try and kill you.”
