I’m A Celebrity 2019 start date confirmed and it’s sooner than you think

I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! returns to ITV next month as hosts Ant McPartlin, 43, and Dec Donnelly, 44, welcome a line-up of new celebrities into the jungle. Although the all-star cast is being kept under wraps, it won’t be long before fans of the show learn who they’ll be watching tackle challenges as the show makes its long-awaited return.

It’s been confirmed the reality show will begin Sunday November 17 at 9pm which will give fans their first glimpse of the contestants in action.

This means viewers only have to wait just over two weeks before they can get their dose of jungle entertainment.

Since the fourth series aired in 2004, the ITV schedule has always made room for the events from Down Under to begin rolling from mid-November.

The news was announced on the hit reality programmes official Twitter account with the date displayed on a glimmering gold star.

Captioning the short clip, the post reads: “DRUM ROLL PLEASE…@imacelebrity Returns Sunday 17th November 9pm @itv @antanddec We’ll see you in the Jungle! #ImACeleb.”

Viewers have since flocked to the social media platform to voice their excitement at the return of the fan favourite.

One wrote: “Can’t b***** wait!!! Light hearted and great fun. Just what we need,” as a second added: “That’s made my day!!!”

A third commented: “Well I for one am very excited!” as a fourth declared: “Campmate rumours please lads! just a lil teaser!”

However, one mystery still on everyone’s lips is who has signed up to face the crawly critters in the infamous BushTucker Trials.

One of the latest names rumoured to be taking part is Coronation Street’s Andrew Whyment, 38, who plays lovable Kirk Sutherland.

According to reports from The Sun, producers are “chuffed” they’ve secured the actor although no official confirmation on his signing has been announced.

Last year, Alya Nazir actress Sair Khan, 31, became the third famous face to be voted off by the public.

Back in 2017, Fiz Brown star Jennie McAlpine, 35, made it all the way to the semi-final before she packed her bags.

Could Andrew do one better by snatching the jungle crown if he were to enter the jungle next month?

Other big names rumoured to be taking part include Good Morning Britain star Kate Garraway, 52.

Speaking at The Pride of Britain Awards earlier this week, the presenter seemed to quash reports as she told The Mirror: “I’m really scared of snakes, spiders and rats. I’m claustrophobic and I don’t really like heights.”
