Emma Willis admits she’s ‘jealous’ of husband Matt Willis ‘It makes me feel boring’

Emma Willis, 43, and husband Matt Willis, 36, have three children together Isabelle, 10, Ace, seven and Trixie Grace, three.

Speaking about family life on Dave Berry’s Dadpod podcast, the presenter admitted she’s “jealous” of her spouse as he’s seen as the fun parent.

The Voice UK host said he has a “fantastic bond” with their children as he can get “down to their level”.

“Oh, he’s like the fourth child,” she spilled about Matt.

“And that for me, is perfect, because I think he has such a fantastic bond and relationship with them because he can get down on their level, do you know what I mean?

“And when they want fun they go to him.”

Emma said Matt’s fun side makes herself feel “boring” as she’s the one who tells them off.

“It makes me feel sensationally boring because I’m like oh I’m that one, am I, that tells them off and makes sure the washing’s done and I am the quintessential mum and I think security,” she divulged.

“That’s what I’ve always had from my dad and Matt is just always there and always fun and I’m quite jealous of that.”

Emma also said she is “dreading” the day her children leave home, after revealing she left to live in London when she was just 17-years-old.

She said: “When I think now that in seven years, my eldest, might ask me to do the same and I’m like ‘No, you’re gonna be locked in your bedroom till you’re 25. You’re not doing…’

The mother-of-three said he has no idea how her parents let her go off to live on her own when she was younger.

”I don’t know how they let me do it because at the time I’m like ‘Well I’m big and I’m clever and I’m 17 and I’m fine. Of course I can go to London’,” she recalled.

“But now I’m a parent it fills me with dread when I have to let my kids go.”

Meanwhile, Matt recently opened up about being a part of Busted and said being away from home is the “worst part” of his job.

The singer exclusively told Express.co.uk: “It’s the worst part of my job. Everything I do takes me away from home unless it’s theatre.”

Speaking about why he enjoys being on stage performing in a theatre show, Matt explained: “I like the fact that it’s close to where I live. I get to go home every day, I go to work and get a bit of a routine.

“I’ve never had routine in my life and I like it a lot.”
