A shocking video from the scene has shown horses kept by residents running from the flames as the public try to rear them. A CBS news reporter on the scene said the “clearly scared” horses were running back to where they feel safe which is in the fire. Multiple horses including a foal ran through the smoke towards safety as members of the public put them in trailers.
The reporter asked them if anyone knew the name of the farm as some don’t have handlers.
One person called out: “I have no idea! These aren’t out horses!”
It come as the Kincaid Fire spread across 73,324 acres in California.
CAL Fire reports: “40 to 50 mph wind gusts are still a possibility throughout the evening while narrow roads and steep terrain are making access to the fire areas very difficult.

“These Northeast winds coupled with low humidity create critical fire weather conditions.
“Firefighters will continue to mitigate structure threats and find opportunities construct control lines.”
Consequently, weather coupled with the steep, narrow terrain makes controlling and containing the fire especially challenging.
Well over 100,000 residents in the area have been evacuated and according to CAL fire 79,675 structures are threatened and 96 structures have already been destroyed.
Pacific Gas & Electric (PG&E) has switched off the power to more than two million people in a bid to keep wind-toppled electrical wires from sparking additional fires.
The company said the power cuts would impact around 94,000 households and businesses across 36 counties in northern California, meaning roughly two million people are impacted by the powercuts.
A PG&E spokesperson said in a press briefing on Saturday: “We have begun implementing the public safety power shutoff.”
The move to shut off its power came after the company faced backlash for its possible role in the fires.
