Strictly's Nadiya Bychkova in sheer dress at Pride of Britain as David James talks romance

Nadiya Bychkova, 30, and David James, 49, walked the red carpet together at the Pride of Britain Awards 2019 tonight. The Strictly Come Dancing professional looked sensational in a daring black ensemble which featured sheer panelling down the front and sides. The saucy number showcased the dancer’s toned physique, giving fans a glimpse of her curves. The stunning frock featured a tutu design and she teamed it with a simple clutch bag.

The blonde beauty sported bold make-up as she posed for pictures alongside former professional footballer David.

The ballroom pro sported a smokey-eye with a hint of bronzer on her chiselled cheeks and a nude lip.

David wore a navy suit which he teamed with a purple tie and a pair of hi-top trainers.

The dancing duo’s appearance at the event comes after David dismissed rumours of a Strictly romance with the blonde beauty.

The Strictly star – who is reportedly in a relationship with childhood sweetheart Amanda Salmon – spoke about his chemistry with Nadiya on the dance floor.

While taking part in the series, the pair were praised for their on-screen chemistry.

However, on the red carpet, David denied any romance rumours.

He told The Sun Online: “No romance, no. That wasn’t part of the deal. But she’s a great teacher.”

Speaking about their relationship, David recently told the Daily Mirror: “My view is that, in life itself, if two people are attracted to each other then something might happen, and it doesn’t need to be Strictly that causes that.

“I think the situation with Nadiya and myself… there’s a goal in this.”

“Nadiya is a fantastic teacher, I want to be a fantastic student, but we’re on Strictly Come Dancing, not Love Island or some other show where people get themselves together,” David continued.

“As I said, I think the chemistry between the two of us is perfect because we know what we’re here for and we’re enjoying the process, even though being in the dance-off isn’t fun.

“If that’s what it looks like then we’re happy.”

The Strictly contestant and the dancing pro were booted out from the BBC show a couple of weeks ago.

They were in a dance-off against BBC Breakfast’s Mike Bushell and Katya Jones.

The judges unanimously agreed on saving Mike and Katya, resulting in David being sent home from the competition.

Following their exit from the show, David said: “Oh I’ve loved it. I feel so bad I’ve let Nadiya down in a sense. I’ve enjoyed it but I’ve put some weight on.”

The Daily Mirror Pride of Britain Awards, in partnership with TSB, will broadcast on ITV on 5th November at 8pm.
