Janette Manrara, 35, and Aljaž Škorjanec, 29, who have been married since 2017, have been competing against each other on this year’s Strictly Come Dancing 2019. But away from the show, the Cuban dancer recently revealed the couple do “everything together” as they don’t actually get to see each other very often when they are working on the programme. Speaking to New magazine, Janette divulged: “We do everything together throughout the year, then when Strictly starts we don’t see each other as much. “Those nights when we’re home together we really cherish. We pop on a good Netflix series and sit on the couch.”
Her revelation comes after the professional dancer took to Instagram and said she was “a bride again”.
Taking to her stories, Janette shared a clip where she sported a bridal gown as she prepared for Halloween Week alongside her celebrity dance partner Will Bayley, 31.
In view of her 292,000 followers, she gushed: “I’m a bride again. How amazing. I love it. It’s like I’m getting married again.”
The reason behind the ensemble is not to renew her vows but she will be performing as a bride alongside Paralympian Will for the spooky special.
The pair will be performing a Jive to Casper by Little Richard.
Her comments comes after Janette and Aljaz recently hinted they would like to renew their vows.
The couple had three celebrations in London, Janette’s home state of Florida and Aljaz’s native country of Slovenia when they wed two years ago.
Speaking to Hello magazine, Aljaz divulged: “We got married three times, so we had two renewals of the vows done within a week.
“But it was a beautiful time, wasn’t it?”
Janette added: “Yes, it was the perfect wedding. Weddings, I guess you could say. I have a few friends actually who have just renewed their vows – Jake Wood and Alison Wood, he was my partner on Strictly in 2014 and they just renewed their vows, and it was so romantic and beautiful to see them do that. So, I don’t know, maybe… yes.”
Meanwhile, the ballroom professional recently spoke out about expanding their family and her desire to become a mother.
“I’m gonna be doing Strictly as long as Strictly all have me,” she laughed. “We have the best job in the world,” she told Express.co.uk.
Janette continued: “I love the establishment and what Strictly represents and that wholesome family entertainment. So, yeah, we want to be a part of that for as long as possible.”
“Definitely going to have kids, don’t know when,” she added.
“Dancing as you can imagine is a very physical, very demanding career. So, we’ll see.”
