World Boxing Super Series: What can Josh Taylor win tonight against Regis Prograis?

Josh Taylor is already boxing royalty in Scotland, having become just one of 14 boxing world champions in the country’s history.

The ‘Tartan Tornado’ beat Ivan Baranchyk for the IBF world super lightweight title in Glasgow last year, and will make the first defence of his crown tonight.

Standing in his way is unbeaten knockout artist Prograis, who currently holds the WBA super lightweight belt.

Taylor is adamant that he will maintain his own unbeaten record tonight, promising to beat the American.

“I’m in the best shape I’ve ever been in, switched on,” he said on Thursday.

“All these fights on the line are going to bring out the best of me.

“I don’t think he does anything better than me.

“I just want to get there and get it done now.

But the WBA belt isn’t just the only prize on offer at the O2 Arena in London tonight.

What will Josh Taylor win if he beats Regis Prograis?

As was the case with the previous series of the World Boxing Super Series, the winner will be rewarded with the coveted Muhammad Ali trophy.

The winner will also be given a cash prize of $10million, with the competitors taking home a share of the $50m prize fund.

Whoever wins is also set to be confirmed as the WBC’s commemorative Diamond Champion.
