David Dickinson wife: Real Deal host and wife of over 50 years rags to riches love story

David Dickinson is a regular fixture on TV screens nowadays, perhaps best known for hosting his daytime antiques show, Dickinson’s Real Deal. But before the TV presenter got his big break, it wasn’t always rosy for David.

Between 2000 and 2004, Dickinson hosted the BBC One antiques show, Bargain Hunt.

Dickinson then left the BBC in 2005, and since 2006 has been a regular fixture on ITV daily.

The antiques expert’s career in television has spanned nearly two decades, almost half the time he has been married to his wife Lorne.

And for now, David doesn’t show any signs of slowing down with his TV work.

He added: “I enjoy what I do and I’m obviously well paid, so it would be silly to stop.

“But fame is a fickle friend.

“However, if you’d asked me that question 20 years ago, I would have said the same thing – and the work just keeps coming.”
