Scarlett Moffatt: Gogglebox star talks ‘weird scenario’ on the show as she teases return

Former Gogglebox star Scarlett Moffatt, 29, was a regular cast member on the Channel 4 show alongside her family from 2014 for eight series.

She moved on to compete in ITV show I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! in 2016, where she became the Queen of the Jungle.

Most recently, she fronted her brand new show The British Tribe Next Door.

Speaking exclusively to Express.co.uk, Scarlett said she would love to see her new show be shown on Gogglebox to hear the cast member’s thoughts.

She revealed: “I would love it to be on Gogglebox, I would love to see what they would all have to say about it.”

The television star went on to reflect on a time she had watched herself being watched through Gogglebox on I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!, which she described as a “weird scenario”.

She explained: “When I was on the jungle, they [Gogglebox stars] did watch a short clip of that, that was one of the best things.

“We was all sat at home on the couch watching them watching us on Gogglebox, it was this matrix sort of weird scenario.

“I would love to see what our friends had to say. I would like to think that they loved it.”

On a potential return to the sofa with her family, she added: “Never say never”.

Scarlett also went on to say she keeps up to date with her fellow cast members on social media, but revealed they don’t meet up.

“We never actually meet up because we all live in different areas and it’s not a typical show where you do a series and have a wrap party.

“It’s just watching the tele, we still all keep on contact on social media which is nice and we all watch the show and support them. I love the series.”

Elsewhere, Scarlett hosted a Guinness World Record attempt for the Biggest Cream Tea Party to celebrate The National Lottery’s 25th Birthday this week.

The Gogglebox star enjoyed tea and cakes with 1054 people, beating the previous World Record at 978 people.

Speaking of her involvement, she said: “I’ve done a couple of things for the National Lottery and I actually didn’t realise they funded the things like the stage where we are on today.

“They just do amazing things for the community.

“It was all about celebrating the 25th birthday for the National Lottery and celebrating local heroes that have done great things for the community. It’s good for the soul isn’t it?

She added: “Everyone today came and we broke the world record, everyone was so much fun. The scones were the size of bricks but no one was complaining about that.”
