Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer showdown possible after Paris Masters draw unveiled

Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal could meet in the semi-finals of the Paris Masters and the duo were drawn in the same half.

The two players last played each other at Wimbledon in July and produced an enthralling semi-final battle.

Last month, they linked up together for Team Europe at the Laver Cup.

Should they both come through their respective sections of the draw, it would be the 41st match between them.

World no 1 Novak Djokovic is on the other side of the draw and will open his campaign against either Dusan Lajovic or Richard Gasquet in the second round.

The Serbian could meet Stefanos Tsitsipas in the quarter-finals and in-form Daniil Medvedev in the semis.

The final Masters 1000 event is the final chance for players to reach the ATP Finals.

There are two spots to play for with Alexander Zverev, Matteo Berrettini, Roberto Bautista Agut, David Goffin and Fabio Fognini all needing deep runs.
