Jason Momoa children: Aquaman star’s heartwarming admission about family

Jason Momoa is a US actor who is best known for his roles as Aquaman, lifeguard Jason Ioane in Baywatch Hawaii, and Ronan Dex in Stargate Atlantis. The Hawaii-born star is dedicated to his family and even has a notable tattoo on his left forearm which is a tribute to his family god or “aumakua”. But what heart-wrenching comment did he make about his family?

Game of Thrones actor Jason Mamoa will be featured on the Graham Norton show tonight speaking about his new TV drama.

The TV show called See is a new post-apocalyptic drama and was created by the producers of The Planet of the Apes trilogy and the director of the Hunger Games films.

The show will see him take on the role of Baba Voss, a father of twins born centuries from now, in a far flung future where a virus has decimated humankind and all survivors are blind.

Unable to see, the surviving humans on earth have created a new way of living in tribes that is akin to that of the Viking era.

When Voss’ wife, played by Momoa’s co-star Hera Hilmar, gives birth to twins with the gift of sight, the news of their ability to see sends waves through the tribal communities sparking both hope and fear amongst the humans.

Voss must fight to protect his tribe against a powerful yet desperate queen who believes his twins’ ability to see witchcraft and wants them destroyed.

It is likely he took inspiration from his own strong connection to his family for his latest role.

The Aquaman actor began a relationship with actress Lisa Bonet, best known for playing Denise huxtable on The Cosby Show, in 2005.

The couple did not legally marry until October 2017, but it was believed they “married” for the first time in 2007.

Lisa Bonet eloped with US rock singer Lenny Kravitz in Las Vegas at the age of 20.

She went on to give birth to her daughter Zoe Kravitz in 1988.

Five years later she divorced Lenny and legally changed her name to Lilakoi Moon.

Part of his own motivation and drive to maintain such a close relationship with his family has been growing up without a father according to People.

He told People: “The great thing is all my friends were fathers, I didn’t have a dad around all the time but it’s my buddies and uncles who raised me.

“The things I learned from them and what we passed on to each other.

“I’ve learned so much from my friends.”

Jason Mamoa enjoyed a reunion with a member of his Game of Thrones family this week as he was joined by Arya Stark actress Maisie Williams in London.

The pair were both seen attending the re-opening of Louis Vuitton’s New Bond Street Maison.

The star-studded event was also attended by Kylie Minogue, Noel Gallagher and Gal Gadot.

Jason Mamoa will appear on the Graham Norton Show tonight when it airs on BBC One at 10.35pm.
