Meghan Markle wedding: Secret behind mother Doria Ragland’s glow – how to guide

Meghan Markle’s wedding was watched by millions all over the world.

Despite sudden international fame her social worker mother Doria Ragland kept her cool among the likes of Prince Charles and Her Majesty the Queen.

Last week, the Duchess’s friend and the make-up artist explained Meghan Markle’s wedding make-up in a how-to guide.

Now Meghan’s friend and the make-up artist behind her wedding look has revealed the secrets behind Doria’s look on the day.

Explaining how he achieves a glow for mature skin, he told all on Lorraine this morning.

Daniel Martin, who has made up the likes of Jessica Alba, Jessica Biel, Jennifer Connolley and Lizzie Caplan, told viewers: “I’m going to show you how to achieve a glow for more mature skin.

“With my model Sonia I’ve prepped her skin, you want to focus on bringing her natural radiance out.”

The make-up artist, who is a brand ambassador for Dior, revealed he used cream products for older skin.

“I’m not going to use any shimmer high lighters or powders, I was the luminance to be natural.”

Daniel, who has previously hinted he might be Archie Harrison’s godfather, put foundation on the model’s face with a brush – starting in the middle.

“It’s not about covering, it’s about enhancing,” he went on.

After using the brush, the expert told viewers that using the hands to tap the skin is advised.

He explained: “After, I’ll go in with my hands, this tapping invigorates the skin.

Daniel went on to advise a cream highlighter on the cheek bones and blusher.

“It gives that radiance and that colour with out feeling like it’s sitting on the skin,” he said.

“Use a mascara to brighten up your eyes and wear your favourite lipstick,” Daniel added, and recommended putting a little powder in the centre of the face if you feel too shiny.

Discussing Meghan’s wedding day, Martin told viewers: “To be honest, I really don’t remember.

“What I do remember is how much fun it was and how easy it was just to be with your friend and her mom, and get them ready on such an incredible day.”

He added: “I’ve known Meghan for 10 years, we met when she was doing Suits and we’ve been great friends ever since.”

Meghan Markle’s recent Africa tour saw the Duchess and Prince Harry travel the country.

Meghan rewore a number of garments over the trip, taking after Kate Middleton who often rewears items.
