Season four of Goliath is eagerly awaited by fans of the show after the dramatic cliffhanger that left Billy McBride’s (played by Billy Bob Thornton) life hanging in the balance. The Amazon Prime show was only released earlier this month as it followed McBride as he took on another tricky case. Now the show has come to an end, here’s everything fans need to know about the potential season four of the show, including when it could be released.
Will there be another series of Goliath?

Goliath is a legal drama on Amazon Prime, which follows the lawyer Billy McBride as he attempts to find redemption after being involved in a trial gone wrong.
Taking on smaller cases and fighting for causes he believes in, he attempts to right some of his past mistakes.
The show was created by Big Little Lies showrunner David E. Kelly along with former assistant US attorney Jonathan Shapiro.
Goliath has already run for three seasons on Amazon Prime Video, with the third run released back on October 4, 2019 with eight new episodes in total.

The latest outing saw McBride take on a case following the unexpected death of an old friend of his.
He explored the mysterious circumstances around the tragic incident which saw his friend fall through the ground in her back garden, he found himself facing with a new enemy.
This was billionaire rancher Wade Blackwood (Dennis Quaid) and his sister Diana Blackwood (Amy Brenneman), who both owned an almond farm which was seemingly draining water from the local area.
However, it also ended on a dramatic cliffhanger with Diana shooting McBride in a car park and seemingly leaving him for dead.

The shock ending left fans desperate to know what will be next for the character and whether he survives.
Amazon Prime has not yet confirmed whether the series will be returning for a third outing.
However, actor Thornton recently spoke to Collider about the possibility of returning once again.
He said: “We’re gonna know very soon. We’ll know, this coming month.
“I think they’re inclined to do another one. They’ve already been working on the idea for the next one, so I know that they’re moving forward.”

He added: “We’ll just see what their final decision is.”
He also spoke to publication Entertainment Weekly about the potential fate of his character after season three.
He said: “If they’re inclined to do another season, I think I would be inclined to.
“I think they would be because it’s been a successful show for them. So if we can figure out a way to get me back out there, it could happen.”
Thornton also spoke about how his fate was hinted at numerous points in the third outing.
He explained: “There are metaphorical things throughout the season, and I think, whether it’s literal or not, it’s definitely a death and rebirth for him.
“This season has a lot of him having to look at himself, his life, and where he wants to go. I’m more lost in this season as a person.”
