The Apprentice 2019: Who left The Apprentice last night?

The Apprentice has returned once again on BBC One as a new line-up of contestants fight for that all-important investment. The latest episode was all about designing a battery-powered bicycle. However, Lord Sugar sent one unlucky candidate home in a dramatic firing – here’s everything you need to know about who left.

Who was fired from The Apprentice tonight?

In the latest episode of The Apprentice, the remaining candidates were tasked with creating an electric bike.

The candidates were once again split into two teams as they attempted to win the task.

After a tense few days of designing and creating their individual bikes, the contestants were called into Lord Sugar’s boardroom.

In the final few moments, the unlucky member sent home was Lubna Farhan.

Throughout the episode, the candidates were designing different electric bikes, as well as finding accessories for their products.

The first team led by pillow salesman Thomas Skinner focused on a bike designed for a more mature audience.

Throughout the episode, Lottie Lion came up against some issues from the other candidates, who passed her over for leadership positions despite her partner owning a bike company.

The other team was led by Iasha Masood as they attempted to create a bike for a sophisticated rider dubbed “Sarah” by the team.

Both teams then had to try and sell their bikes to retailers including Evans and Halfords.

The team who made the most money and were therefore safe for the next week was led by Iasha.

They secured sales of a grand total of £1,265,210 and won their team a trip to an indoor go-karting track.

Thomas’ team on the other hand only managed to secure a total of £437,700.

This meant all of the candidates in the team were put at risk of being fired.

In the boardroom, Thomas came back with Lubna as she made no sales and Marianne Rawlins as she designed the bike.

Lord Sugar questioned Thomas’ lack of sales after he placed himself in the wrong part of the team while Marianne questioned his leadership.

Lubna was criticised after she did not contribute much in the task by both Lord Sugar and her other candidates.

In the end, it seemed like Thomas was going to be sent home by Lord Sugar after he mentioned that he had been in the bottom four times already.

However, it was Lubna who was fired after she was criticised for doing very little over the past four weeks.

After she was sent home, she said: “I just tried to be myself and I thought that would be enough.

“I should have maybe tried showing Lord Sugar more of what I’m capable of and unfortunately I was unable to do that.”
