Meghan, Duchess of Sussex turned heads on Tuesday evening in her Aritzia’s purple long-sleeved Babaton Maxwell dress while attending the One Young World Summit. The affordable dress retails for less than $50 (£38.79) and spurred searches around the world for similar dresses.
Meghan’s fashion also sparked interest as she and Prince Harry toured southern Africa in early October.
The Duchess wore some outfits designed by local fashion labels.
On the first day of her trip, Meghan wore a dress designed by ethical Malawian label Mayamiko.
It sells for £69 and was sold out following the Duchess being photographed wearing it as she visited the Nyanga Township in Cape Town, South Africa.

The differences in their style were also clearly seen at their respective weddings.
Kate’s wedding dress was a long-sleeved, lace appliquéd gown designed by English designer Sarah Burton, creative director of the luxury fashion house Alexander McQueen.
The train spanned almost nine feet, and the Victorian style bodice pulled in at the waist creating an hourglass silhouette.
Meghan chose a more simplistic dress, with a pure white gown by British designer Clare Waight Keller, the artistic director of French fashion house Givenchy.
Meghan’s dress did not feature lace, but instead had a no-frills boat neckline and three-quarter length sleeves.
Her veil was more intricate, with floral detail which represented all 53 countries of the Commonwealth.
When Kate married William in 2011, she opted for the Cartier Halo tiara which had lots of history.
The wedding tiara chosen by the Duchess had been in the family since it was created in 1936.
“In choosing the Cartier Halo tiara for her wedding, Kate established a new generation of royals,” Tobias Kormind, Managing Director of 77Diamonds.com told Express.co.uk.
Meghan wore Queen Mary’s bandeau tiara, and had been made in 1932 for the Queen’s grandmother, Queen Mary.
The tiara features both large and small brilliant diamonds, and the centre stone of the piece is actually a brooch.
