Manchester United forward Daniel James has sent a message after he 1-1 draw with Liverpool at Old Trafford on Sunday, and fans love it.
The Welsh winger set up the opening goal for Marcus Rashford as he continues to impress since his summer move from Swansea, and has been one of the shining lights in a difficult season so far.
“Plenty of positives to take from that,” the 21-year-old posted on Twitter.
“We were unlucky not to get the three points… onwards to Thursday.”
Supporters were quick to respond to the rising star, and bombarded him with support.
One fan wrote: “Rest up, lad – Ole’s first continues to shine.”
Another added: “Daniel James. My man!! You are one of the few players that performs every week and gives everything!!”
A third said: “Well done yesterday Daniel, you really stepped up. The fans really appreciate your passion and commitment. Keep it up!”
A fifth chipped in: “Lost count how many times you knocked down but got back up. Absolute warrior. You show so much passion for That shirt.”
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer chose to pick out James and Rashford for their performances after Adam Lallana’s late equaliser.
He said of the England international: “Best game he’s played for ages, maybe in his 10 months with me.
“He runs off the shoulder of the defenders, he chases, he defends well, he got hold of the ball, there was a nice little race between him and [Virgil] Van Dijk in the corner and you could see he is growing and getting stronger.”
“The boy’s got a great attitude, there’s no fear,” he added of James.
“He’s brave, he gets kicked, gets up again, gets kicked, gets up again, and he must be a nightmare to play against when he gets this type of space.
“The boy has been a delight to work with and he and Marcus played really well today.”
