During his time at the BBC, the Who Wants To Be A Millionaire host was said to be one of the broadcaster’s highest-paid stars with a reported £1, 000,000 per series.
He now presents the quiz show weekly, as viewers play for the opportunity to win up to a million pounds every weekend.
