John Paul Jones and Tayshia Adams’ love story had Bachelor Nation ‘ooo-ing and aww-ing’ almost every episode of Bachelor in Paradise. Spoiler alert: The couple is still together and won’t be in a long-distance relationship anymore.
John recently revealed that he’s moved to California to pursue an acting career and be closer to Tayshia. The reality star previously lived in Maryland where he worked as a financial analyst and the couple would have to travel often to see each other.
He told US Weekly: ‘A few opportunities came up that were really just too hard to pass up and it just made sense to move. Tayshia is only an hour and a half away so that was a big draw and to my surprise, a talent agent reached out to me and they’ve been consistently getting me auditions and I’m waiting to hear back [on projects]. I honestly never could’ve expected this entire occurrence, it’s completely crazy. I’ll never be able to do this again so it just seemed like the right move.’
Jones added that it was a hassle to work 50 hours a week, take a plane to see Tayshia for one day, and go back home where he would often feel lonely without her presence.
Originally, Adams declined Jones’ offer to go to the fantasy suites on the ABC hit which, in turn, caused him to leave Paradise heartbroken. She immediately realized that she wanted to pursue a relationship with the charming 24-year-old so she tracked him down to ask if he wanted to be together again.
‘I’m really excited to just be a normal couple. We just really haven’t had that normalcy that you would experience in a relationship given that we were hanging onto each other via FaceTime and now it’ll be more of a tangible thing. We’re just excited to be around each other.’

It will be interesting to see how Tayshia and John’s relationship progresses after this big move.
