James Jordan: Strictly star threatened with police during day out with pregnant wife Ola

Ex Strictly Come Dancing star James Jordan, 41, enjoyed a baby shopping day out with his wife Ola Jordan, 37, who is pregnant with their first child.

Before giving an insight into their day, James told his followers he had stopped off at a petrol station to use their toilet, but his plan backfired.

In view of his 169,000 Instagram followers, he said: “I was driving… went into a petrol station, begged if I could use their toilet.

“They told me they didn’t have a toilet which I know is a lie, so then I said I was going to pee in the forecourt and then he said he was going to call the police.”

He added, laughing: “So I had to run around the corner and pee behind a tree.”

Moving on from the encounter, James and Ola gave fans an insight into their day at the Baby show.

The parents-to-be tried out various prams for the impending baby and James later challenged himself to experience labour pains.

The Dancing On Ice star screamed in pain as a machine placed on his chest seemingly demonstrated the feeling of contractions.

James was filmed holding up a sign which read: “HELP ME! I’m having labour pains.”

Last month, James and Ola Jordan announced they are expecting their first baby together.

Opening up about their 12-week scan to Hello magazine, Ola said: “When we had the scan it was funny because the baby was dancing.

“I’m not sure if it was a cha-cha or a jive, but it was definitely dancing.”

James added: “We’ve been with each other for 20 years, married for 16, travelled the world, achieved amazing things in our careers: trophies, accolades, Ola won Strictly Come Dancing, I won Dancing On Ice.

“But finding out that we are pregnant is no doubt our biggest achievement ever. This is probably the most special and exciting thing that has ever happened to us.”

The dancing duo were previously told by doctors a natural pregnancy may not have been possible after three years of trying and failing to conceive.

Following this, they began IVF treatment earlier this year.

Reflecting on the process, Ola said: “It is really hard. You inject yourself every evening. You’re swollen even before you get pregnant.

“We had journalists saying, ‘She hasn’t been drinking and she’s really swollen on the belly, she’s pregnant’.

“Actually, I’m going through fertility treatment, I was already quite swollen on the belly, so that’s quite hard.”

Strictly Come Dancing continues tonight at 6.40pm on BBC One.
