The First Daughter was savaged online for the mistake and the bag mysteriously disappeared between her arriving and touring the factory. Ivanka, a senior adviser to her father US President Donald Trump, promoted new jobs in the area during the visit. It comes as Trump faces calls for impeachment.
Twitter users were quick to notice the disappearing bag.
One said: “Ivanka, you arrived with a Chanel bag but left it behind.”
Another added: “I see Ivanka’s bag of choice was Chanel which I guess she left on the plane.”
A third person said: “She arrived clutching a Chanel bag, lol. I’m not even joking. Showed pics. Unsurprisingly the bag suddenly disappeared latter on. Just too funny.”

The awkward clash of French brands comes just days after Ivanka made a huge blunder on her Instagram when she tried to congratulate the winner of the Nobel Peace Prize, Abiy Ahmed.
She took to social media to congratulate the Prime Minister of Ethiopia but made a huge error when doing so.
Ivanka posted a heartfelt message on her Instagram story which read: “Congratulations Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed on being awarded the Noble Peace Prize for your work on peace and reconciliation with your neighbour Eritrea!”
But she failed to notice she spelt “Nobel” wrong.
Earlier this year she made an embarrassing error while congratulating Boris Johnson on his Tory leadership victory.
The First Daughter of the US took to Twitter to pay tribute to Mr Johnson, replaced Theresa May as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom.
But in a heartfelt message, Ivanka misspelt a crucial word, a mistake quickly jumped on by social media users.
She said: “Congratulations Boris Johnson on becoming the next Prime Minister of the United Kingston.”
