HUGE Xbox One deal: Buy the console with SIX top games for under £250

If you’ve been on the lookout for an Xbox One console, then we’ve found a fantastic deal for you, courtesy of Currys PC World.

At the time of writing, the retailer is offering an incredible bundle on the Xbox One S, throwing in SIX games for a total of £249.00. That means you get a console (with 1TB hard drive) that plays 4K Blu-Rays and 4K streaming content like Stranger Things on Netflix, with a varied array of games.

But what of the games?

Overwatch is arguably the biggest title included, with Blizzard’s huge online phenomenon into its third year of content – and currently in the middle of a huge Halloween event. Back in 2016, we awarded it 4 stars, where our issues were with the lack of content – something Blizzard has certainly changed since, adding in characters, maps and modes at a steady pace.

Tekken 7, the latest in the franchise, is an excellent fighter (we awarded it four stars) which offers a huge roster of characters including classics like Heihachi and King. The story mode is a little clunky, but overall it’s one of the genre’s finest.

Next up is Project Cars 2, an incredible racing simulator that petrolheads will fall in love with. It’s an unforgiving driving game that’ll delight those looking for a challenge – as long as you’re not expecting powerslides. It offers 140 tracks and 189 cars, so there’s always something to do.

Killer Instinct is a reboot of the legendary fighting series from the nineties, offering plenty of fighters and chances to test out your best combos. This bundle includes the first season of characters, including classics from the 1994 original such as Jago and Sabrewulf.

Anthem is a third-person shooter where your character pilots a mechanised suit with weapons galore, battling against all kinds of nasties in the world to protect your home city of Fort Tarsis. It received a mixed reception upon launch (we awarded it two and a half stars), but there’s definitely fun to be had in flying around like Iron Man.

Finally, Mafia III is an open-world action-adventure crime drama where players step into the boots of Vietnam veteran Lincoln Clay as he returns home from war to take revenge on the local crime syndicates. It sold big for 2K back in 2016, too.

Microsoft’s Xbox One may have launched with some issues, but the console has really come into its own over the last year, largely thanks to features like backwards compatibility and Xbox Game Pass. The box itself has undergone some changes too, and the Xbox One S is the result.

The Xbox One S is a much smaller, lighter version of the industrial box that we got back in 2013, and has an integrated power supply. This means it’ll take up a lot less room under your TV, and can even be positioned on its side now.

Add to that a 4K Blu-ray drive and the ability to stream 4K media, with Dolby Atmos sound, and you’ve got an excellent value entertainment device – and that doesn’t even count the games included in this deal.

If those aren’t enough, don’t forget that you can download titles like Fortnite and Destiny 2 for free!
