Emmerdale’s Chas Dingle (played by Lucy Pargenter) is currently expecting a baby any day with Paddy Kirk (Dominic Brunt). However, Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller) put her under stress in tonight’s episode after his heartbroken when the police arrested Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley) for Lee Posner’s (Kris Mochrie) murder. Unable to see her son living in such anguish, will the Woolpack landlady take matters into her own hands and try and get Robert out of jail?
In scenes which aired tonight, viewers saw Aaron distraught after Robert was caught by police.
Restrained by Chas and Paddy, the former mechanic helplessly watched on as the love of his life was read his rights and handcuffed.
In previous episodes, ITV viewers have seen Robert and Aaron plan their escape together.
Robert, who pleaded guilty to Grevious Bodily Harm (GBH) after he attacked sister Victoria Sugden’s (Isabel Hodgins) rapist Lee earlier this summer, was left in a predicament when she came round to Mill Cottage and informed him Lee had in fact died from a bleed on the brain, upgrading the charge from GBH to manslaughter.

After Aaron’s sister Liv Flaherty (Isobel Steele) convinced Robert and Aaron to flee the village, she was determined to help them.
During yesterday’s episode, Liv snuck into Mandy Dingle’s (Lisa Riley) van who was going to visit Robert and Aaron to give them their fake IDs.
But when the van stopped and Liv jumped out, the two men were shocked and angry.
Tonight, Aaron told Liv that she had to leave as he told her: “Liv, I’m sorry but you’re not coming with us.”
Left emotional, he told: “We were supposed to getaway together, what am I going to do without him?”
Clearly seeing how distraught her son is, will Chas conjure up a plan to try and get Robert out of jail for the sake of Aaron?
As her brother Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) originally planned to help Robert and Aaron escape, could Chas get Cain to help her find A way to get Robert out of his lengthy sentence?
Although it is confirmed Robert is departing the programme, it’s not yet known whether this is the last viewers will see of him, and if Chas and Cain find a way to reunite the pair, Aaron could leave the Dales too.
Will they hatch a plan to get Robert free?
Robert’s exit left viewers extremely unhappy, with many questioning where this now leaves Aaron and their plans to start a family together.
There is suggestion he could be more involved in Victoria’s life, especially since she is pregnant.
But with all the turmoil of Robert leaving, does this mean Victoria could go into an early labour?
