Cruise: TUI passengers can bag £120 free spending money onboard these bargain cruises

TUI customers should act fast if they want to get their hands on one of the latest bargain deals on offer from the cruise arm of the holiday operator. Their latest offering delivers a unique way for tourists to take in the sights of some of Europe’s favourite cities. Passengers are welcomed to step aboard one of TUI’s river cruise liners on a seven-day continental excursion. Customers will also be rewarded with £120 in excursion credit as part of the package.

Prices for the latest river cruise offering are all below £1,500, with the cheapest starting at a bargain £1,000 for a week-long venture.

These one-of-a-kind trips will travel through the continent to destinations including the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany and Frankfurt.

Setting sail from March through to the end of May, passengers won’t have long to wait before their next holiday.

Meanwhile, spring will be in full effect, offering some of the finest tourist attractions and endless views regardless of which route you choose.

There are three 2020 routes on offer, each promising ultimate relaxation aboard one of TUI’s adults-only vessels.

For as little £1,000 passengers can hop aboard the “Beautiful Benelux” cruise on TUI Isla.

Setting sail from Amsterdam, the route visits Veere, Ghent, Antwerp, Belgium and Utrecht.

Departing on 29 March 2020, tickets will include return flights from London Gatwick Airport.

The second cruise included in the offering is the “Majestic Main & Rhine”, aboard the TUI Isla.

Costing £1,350 per person, this cruise will depart from Nuremberg, Germany and visit hotspots including Bamberg, Wurzburg, Miltenberg, Rudesheim, Cologne and Amsterdam.

Departing on 10 May 2020, passengers will fly from London Gatwick airport and be covered for the cost of return flights.

Finally, a 31 May 2020 departure will take customers to Rotterdam, Dusseldorf Bonn, Koblenz, Boppard and Frankfurt for just £1,450.

Passengers will jet off from Heathrow towards their week-long “Dutch & Deutsch Explorer”.

For all three routes, ticket prices include transfers, service charges and tips, and boast an impressive £120 free credit for customers to spend on land excursions.

The offering is another signifier that TUI has benefitted from the Thomas Cook collapse.

Following the liquidation of rival travel agent Thomas Cook, which left 150,000 British holidaymakers stranded abroad, TUI began to recruit some of the firm’s staff.

They went on to launch around 10,000 more flights for the 2002 holiday season and receive applause for providing jobs to scrambling Thomas Cook staff.

Andrew Flintham, Managing Director TUI UK & Ireland said: “At TUI we’re committed to offering outstanding holidays, flown from local airports to popular holiday hotspots.

“The customer is at the heart of everything we do and this additional growth demonstrates our continued commitment for people to discover their smile with us.”
