Cruise: Passenger risks her own life for the perfect photo – slammed as 'idiot'

Cruise holidays are often filled with glamour and luxury so, of course, passengers want to take photographs to remember the occasion. Unfortunately, one woman recently took things to the extreme and risked her own life. Her fellow passengers have since branded her a “moron” for the wild stunt. Would you go to this extreme to get the perfect snapshot of your cruise vacation?

The passenger was caught climbing over a balcony railing to get the perfect shot of her in her bathing suit.

The incident happened onboard the Allure of the Seas cruise from Royal Caribbean.

By pulling this dangerous stunt the woman was deemed as being in breach of the Royal Caribbean guest conduct policy and was removed from the liner when it docked in Falmouth, Jamaica.

The guest policy bans “sitting, standing, lying or climbing on, over or across any exterior or interior railings” of the ship.

Fellow guest Peter Blosic witnessed the moment, taking photographs and posting it to his social media.

‘What an absolute IDIOT. You cannot fall off of a ship unless you are acting like a moron!’ Blosic said.

According to the Daily Mail he immediately reported the incident to staff onboard the ship.

According to the Royal Caribbean safety policy: “Guests may not enter or access any area that is restricted and for the use of crew members. Any other unsafe behaviour, including failure to follow security instructions, is not permitted.”

The guidelines also state that any guests in breach of rules and regulations will be “removed from a ship at the next port of call.”

Express.co.uk has reached out to Royal Caribbean for comment.

The passenger clearly ruined her own trip and wasted a luxurious experience.

The Allure of the Seas recently underwent a huge re-vamp introducing new amenities and restaurants including

Giovanni’s Italian Kitchen & Wine Bar as well as Quantum Class original Music Hall – taking live music to the next level.

Passengers keen for more adventure can enjoy glow-in-the-dark laser tag in “Clash for the Crystal City”.

There is also Royal Escape Room – Apollo 18: Lunar Landing, an out-of-this-world expedition that challenges guests to solve puzzle after puzzle before time runs out.
