Virgin Voyages: Bag 2020 cruise from £110 with half price deposit offer on new cruise ship

Virgin Voyages cruise line has launched an exciting new sale for cruise fans hoping to bag a spot on the luxury Scarlet Lady cruise ship in 2020. Sir Richard Branson’s new brainchild sets sail next year. Scarlet Lady is the first of four Virgin Voyages cruise ships and designed for adults and first-time cruisers, with unique features specially curated to attract those new to cruise. Price tags need not put sailors (Branson’s choice of word for customers) off thanks to the current offer. Virgin Voyages has slashed deposits by half so you could bag a spot on board 2020 itineraries from £110pp.

Cruise fans hoping to make the most of the deal will have to book before Saturday 30 November.

Virgin Voyages said: “Book now through November 30th for half off all deposits.”

That’s not the only benefit the Virgin cruise line will offer. A bottle of posh fizz is also in the offing.

“Sailors who book April and May 2020 sailings will receive a bottle of Moët & Chandon Impérial on us,” states Virgin Voyages’ website.

The news comes after Virgin Voyages announced its exclusive on-demand champagne delivery service last week, dubbed Shake for Champagne.

Virgin Voyages cruisers will be able to request champagne anywhere onboard Scarlet Lady with a simple shake of their phone.

When the Virgin Voyages Sailor App is shaken, a secret Virgin Voyages Champagne button is revealed and, with just one press, a bottle of Möet Chandon Impérial will be delivered to the thirsty holidaymaker.

Those looking to take indulgence to the next level can also treat themselves in the champagne lounge and caviar bar, Sip.

“It is never too early for champagne and there is always something to toast to while aboard Scarlet Lady,” said Tom Mcalpin, CEO of Virgin Voyages.

“We want our Sailors to enjoy a glamorous holiday and what better way to feel like a RockStar than a sip of bubbly whenever and wherever you want it.”

The fizz is delivered in an eye-catching, gleaming Virgin red champagne bucket and the service includes a 750ml bottle of Möet Chandon Imperial with two glasses.

Möet Chandon Imperial is a blend of over 200 crus, mingling the full body of pinot noir with the suppleness of Meunier and the finesse of chardonnay.

“There’s nothing more luxurious than having champagne at your beck and call or even a shake,” said Nathan Rosenberg, CMO Virgin Voyages.

“We are committed to creating the world’s most irresistible travel brand, so we thought long and hard about how to help our Sailors effortlessly get a sip of bubbly during their voyage, and presto Shake for Champagne was conjured up!”

Sailors on the Scarlet Lady can also expect a tattoo parlour called Squid Ink; drag-show brunches; mixology classes; an on-board record shop called Voyage Vinyl; a Korean barbecue; and DJ-hosted spa parties.

With the maiden voyage on 1 April, Dover and Liverpool will be Scarlet Lady’s first ports of call, where media and travel partners will get the first glimpse of the new vessel before she heads to her homeport of Miami. From here, Scarlet Lady will commence her inaugural season of seven-night round-trips around the Caribbean.

Virgin Voyages will also serve an English pale ale in the Draught Haus bar which will be found onboard the Scarlet Lady.

The craft beer took a year to create and was made in partnership with Wynwood Brewing Company, Miami. It is brewed using American malts and hops in Miami but using an English yeast, in a nod to Virgin’s British roots.

“We have created the perfect pale ale that is both thirst quenching and refreshingly delicious, but of course, created with a Virgin twist, as we have given our pale beer a little kiss of scarlet red,” said Charles Steadman, Senior Manager of Beverage Development for Virgin Voyages.
