Melania Trump outrage: FLOTUS in shock rant as she admits needing ‘thick skin’ in US role

During a chat with Fox News’ Shaun Hannity, the FLOTUS made the revelation after reflecting on her time in the post. Melania has endured a controversial time in office after her husband and US President Donald receives waves of criticism from opponents. But she recalled her different her life is now compared to before.

She told the interviewer: “It’s incredible especially when you think about it.

“When you think about it, your life, where you were born and life, all the steps you took.

“I took a lot of steps and it’s not just like you learn a lot on the way here.

“You need to have very thick skin.”

During the same interview, Melania also spoke about her disagreements with Donald.

She admitted that she wasn’t happy with Trump for some of his controversial posts on social media platform Twitter.

Trump has caused outrage on numerous occasions after freely speaking his mind on the programme.

Trump rose to office in 2016 after a shock victory over Democrat Hillary Clinton.

“As I said before sometimes he listens, sometimes he doesn’t.”

When asked whether she had ever stopped him by Mr Hannity, she said: “I said to him I don’t think you need to put that out but in the end it’s his decision.

“He knows the consequences.

“He’s an adult – but he’s a fighter.”

It came before Melania sparked fury online after she praised the courage of 18-year-old Ally Harrison for sharing her experiences of vaping.

Ally was part of a group of youngsters invited to the White House to discuss the dangers of smoking.

The event was organised by the Truth Initiative, the public health organisation that aims to end tobacco smoking.

The group of nine students met with the First Lady in the Blue Room.
