Rebekah Vardy seen in tears ‘grabbing Jamie for support’ as she flies home amid Rooney row

Rebekah Vardy, 37, was spotted returning from a family trip to Dubai where she appeared visibly upset while walking through the airport yesterday. The pregnant star has returned to the UK after being accused by Coleen Rooney of leaking stories about her, which the expectant mum has fiercely denied. In pictures obtained by The Sun, Rebekah can be seen wiping tears from her face as she is supported by her husband Jamie. The star reportedly cut her family holiday short after Coleen’s accusations.

A source told the publication: “She kept crying and grabbing Jamie for support.”

It comes after she accused her fellow WAG’s social media account of leaking stories about her, following an elaborate plan using her own private Instagram account.

The star, who is married to former England footballer Wayne Rooney, 33, said she blocked all of her friends and family apart from Rebekah.

Coleen then planted several false stories about herself on her Instagram stories, which were subsequently published.

The stories included one about gender selection, which was published on August 15, one about her plans to return to TV, which was published on September 28 and another about her basement flooding earlier this week, which has been taken down.

Rebekah recently spoke out about the claims and said she “feels sorry” for Coleen.

In a candid interview with The Daily Mail, she explained: “I do feel sorry for her in some ways, we have both been the subject of stories that are not nice and you don’t know where they have come from.

“But that doesn’t make it OK to just dump this on me and my family.”

The WAG insisted she has always been loyal to the Rooneys.

She told the publication: “I have turned down so many interviews and requests to talk about them.

“I have never felt that it was my place to talk about someone else or their relationships.

“I have not done anything like this and I would not do anything like this. I don’t understand what I would gain.”

She added in reference to the stories which were published about Coleen: “The stories were just nonsense, they weren’t even damaging.

“The one about their house flooding was actually published while I was on a plane to Dubai.”

Last week, Coleen shared her allegations in a statement shared via her Instagram account.

In view of her 751,000 followers, she wrote: “For a few years now someone who I trusted to follow me on my personal Instagram account has been consistently informing The Sun newspaper of my private posts and stories.

“There has been so much information given to them about me, my friends and my family – all without my permission or knowledge.”

She continued: “Over the past five months I have posted a series of false stories to see if they made their way into the Sun newspaper.

“And you know what, they did! The story about gender selection in Mexico, the story about returning to TV and then the latest story about the basement flood in my new house.”

Coleen concluded: “I have saved and screenshotted all the original stories which clearly show just one person has viewed them. It’s……… Rebekah Vardy’s account.”
