Emma Weymouth: Strictly Come Dancing star looks stunning in modern wedding dress

Viscountess Emma Weymouth, 33, is among a diverse mix of celebrities to take part in Strictly Come Dancing this autumn. The model and chef is the daughter of Nigerian oil tycoon Ladi Jadesimi and English socialite Suzanna Mcquiston. She married Ceawlin Thynn, the son of Alexander, 7th Marquess of Bath, in 2013 in one of the largest weddings held at Longleat. A unique exhibition celebrating the couple’s wedding has previously been on display at Longleat House.

Emma walked down the aisle in an Angelina Collarusso dress, which was initially designed by Emma and her mother, Suzanna McQuiston.

On the wedding day, Emma embodied the concept of a blushing bride and was glowing in pictures with friends and family.

The dress was a modern take on a traditional aristocracy gown. It had an ivory satin bodice, which pinched the Viscountess in at the waist, and fine lace detailing throughout the whole dress.

The flower lace detailing was a nod to the traditional Bath flower found in the country fields surrounding Longleat.

The skirt was padded at the hips and gave an overall ‘fairly tale’ look. Finishing off the wedding outfit with a brilliant and dazzling crown.

The outfit was specifically made to transform from a traditional wedding gown in to a stunning evening dress.

The aspiring television chef and food blogger, who writes under her maiden name Emma McQuiston, put her Collarusso-made wedding dress on display at the stately home as well as a portrait painted of her on the big day as part of an exhibition she created.

Writing on the Longleat website, Emma wrote: “The exhibition is a lovely reminder of the wedding and it is a great way to showcase all the amazing work and effort other put in to make it such a memorable and joyous occasion.”

The exhibition, ‘Something Old and Something New’, also included diaries and photographs of previous weddings in the family of her husband Ceawlin Thynn, Viscount Weymouth, which have taken place at the Wiltshire country pile.

Emma is currently competing for the Strictly Come Dancing Glitterball trophy with professional Aijax Skorjanec, 29.

Last weekend, the duo performed the Cha Cha to the Tom Jones hit She’s A Lady.

Emma’s efforts earned her 19 out of 40 points by judges Shirley Ballas, Bruno Tonioli, Craig Revel Horwood and Motsi Mabuse.

Another Strictly contestant who has married in recent years is Catherine Tyldsley – and she chose not one but two weddings dresses for her special day.

The Coronation Street star said “I Do” in a stunning bespoke gown by Liverpudlian designer Phillip Armstrong.

She then wore a stunning ivory gown by another Liverpool-based designer, Mark Melia, for the evening reception.
