Pokemon Sword and Shield trainers need to know an important detail about the Nintendo Switch exclusive ahead of launch.
The Pokemon Sword and Shield release date is fast approaching, with only a few weeks left until the new pocket monsters adventure is out.
On November 15 Pokemon Sword and Shield will have its worldwide release date, with a whole new adventure launching that’s set in the Galar region.
And ahead of the highly anticipated release date trainers have found out an important detail they need to know about Pokemon Sword and Shield.
Recently a brand new pocket monster that will be appearing in the Nintendo Switch Pokemon game was revealed.
During the recent 24 hour Pokemon Sword and Shield live stream trainers got their first glimpse of Galarian Ponyta.
Galarian Ponyta has an extremely cute and colourful design, with the unicorn boasting a striking purple and green mane.
But if trainers want to make sure they’ll be able catch this Pokemon then they’ll have to buy the right version.
It’s been revealed that Galarian Ponyta is exclusive to Pokemon Shield, with Sword players missing out.
However, those that choose Pokemon Sword will be getting their own exclusive pocket monster.
The recently revealed Sirfetch’d is only available in the Sword variety of the upcoming Nintendo Switch game.

“Galarian Ponyta have been found in a certain forest of the Galar region since ancient times.
“It is said that they were exposed to the overflowing life energy of the forest over many generations, and therefore their appearance became unique in this region.
“Galarian Ponyta can absorb the life energy of the surrounding atmosphere and store it in its mane.
“Its mane will become more colorful, and even emit a sparkling glow, if there is an abundance of energy around.
“Galarian Ponyta’s Ability, Pastel Veil, is a new Ability introduced in these titles.
“This Ability prevents the Pokemon and its allies from becoming poisoned.
“It can even cure the poisoned status condition of its allies when this Pokemon enters the battlefield.”
