Melania Trump: FLOTUS savaged on Twitter for wearing outrageous outfit – 'Seriously?'

The First Lady was mocked on Twitter after fans mocked commented on her wearing high heels and a long coat while digging soil with a spade. The green, patent stilettos and calf-length coat paired with her immaculately styled locks appeared out of place at the event.

As well as tweeting photos of the event, Melania described the event to her followers and critics.

She wrote: “Exciting to break ground on the new tennis pavilion project at the White House today.

“Thank you to all who will help in making this legacy piece possible for future first families to gather at and enjoy for years to come.”

However, Melania’s critics have taken to Twitter to savage the First Lady for her choice of attire.

One user said: “I’ve seen it all now, digging in the dirt with stiletto heels on.”

Another mockingly said: “Seriously? 5 inch skinny heels?”

One user responded: “Oh look! Our least active FLOTUS pretends she likes to play tennis in make-up and heels!”

One woman said: “Gold shovel and high heels to create something unnecessary.”

Other responses included a picture of Trump playing tennis which shows him wearing small, white shorts and his signature red cap.

One caption for the photo read: “If there’s one thing the world needs LESS of, it’s this…”

It’s not the first time Melania has been mocked this week for her outfit choice.

The First Lady was also criticised for her bizarre outfit choice when she visited Grand Teton National Park in Wyoming on a solo visit.

The First Lady, 49, wrapped up for the changing of the seasons in a parka, white jumper and trousers and Christian Louboutin boots.

Social media users were quick to highlight Melania’s outfit didn’t match the environment as some told her to put on an “appropriate” pair of shoes.

Twitter users labelled her a “gold digger” and mocked her decision to wear all white.

Her visit was for her BeBest campaign which aims to help more children spend time outside.

The First Lady also recently attended a Red Ribbon Rally in Virginia during the week.

However, the FLOTUS forgot to wear a red ribbon symbol during the event although it later emerged that she had not been given the item ahead of time.
