PUBG Mobile update release date revealed as Tencent tease 0.15.0 patch changes

A new PUBG Mobile update is being released next week and will include a range of changes for Android and iOS players.

News of the official release date for patch 0.15.0 was shared on an official social media account earlier this week.

It was first spotted on the PUBG Mobile India Instagram page but has yet to be shared on any other accounts.

But as the original post has not been deleted, we can probably rely on the new launch details shared.

From what has been posted, the new PUBG Mobile 0.15.0 update will be released on October 16, 2019.

That means that the new build for Android and iOS is just a week away from launching for some fans.

We even got a little hint at the release date earlier this year, when Tencent confirmed their plans to feature a new event, which finishes on October 15.

“From now through Tuesday, Oct. 15, PUBG MOBILE players can complete daily missions in four different warrior-themed chapters to receive exclusive in-game rewards and try upcoming new weapon “Draconian Champion – Machete” after completing all missions.

“Players participating in the challenges will be entered in a raffle for a chance to win one of 20 winners a trip to the PMCO Fall Split- Global Finals in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.”

There’s a good chance that the next PUBG Mobile update will require downtime and server maintenance.

If it follows the pattern of previous patches, Tencent will likely take servers offline on October 15.

This could last for several hours, followed by PUBG Mobile going live again for fans.

There would then be a 24-hour gap, followed by the release of the new PUBG Mobile update on Wednesday.

Due to the popularity of PUBGM, Tencent usually rollout patches region by region, to avoid serious server issues.

This means that not everyone will get access to the download at the same time and there could be an extra wait time.

It should also be noted that full-number updates (0.14.0 rather than 0.14.5) usually contain the big changes.

And Tencent has already started teasing some of the new features they have planned for PUBG Mobile next week.

This will include bringing the Ledge Grab ability to the game, allowing gamers to reach new spots, and attack from new angles.

Fans can also look forward to the release of new exploding fuel canisters, which can be picked up and used to set traps for your enemies, or used in firefights to secure the tactical advantage.

A new mode will also go live called “Payload,” where players will have the ability to resurrect their allies by picking up ID cards.

Much like in Apex Legends, you’ll be able to carry them to a communication tower and activate the revive process.

New weapons are also being promised, including the M3E1 missile launcher for targeting helicopters and two grenade launchers.

Fans are also expecting to see a new feature released that will make it possible to repair vehicles, which might come in handy when gunning around in the BRDM-2 armoured vehicle.
