Man Utd set Alexis Sanchez asking price as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer makes final decision

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer reportedly wants Alexis Sanchez gone permanently.

Sanchez is spending the season on loan at Serie A giants Inter Milan having struggled at Old Trafford.

The Chilean joined the Red Devils last January from Arsenal though scored just five goals in all competitions.

And The Sun claim that United are demanding at least £25million for any club to take the former Barcelona star permanently.

It’s reported that United see no way how Sanchez can return to Old Trafford, regardless of how well he performs in Italy.

It comes with Sanchez earning around £500,000 a week at United, with three years remaining on his current deal.

An Old Trafford source told The Sun: “The plan is to get some money back and use that to pay off most of his contract.

“There is a hope that he has a good spell at Inter and they or another club want to take him off our hands next summer.

“We have a fair valuation as he still has a few good years left in him based on his age and his strong reputation.”

Sanchez had impressed at Arsenal and Manchester United were hoping he could lead them back to the top of the Premier League.

It wasn’t to be and Red Devils hero Gary Neville also believes the Chilean forward needs to leave.

He recently said: “I welcomed him coming to the club as he’s a tenacious forward that plays across the line and scores goals.

“But it’s been a disaster. I have no idea what’s happened.

“There must be two of him. The one that played for Arsenal and Barcelona and then the one that’s turned up in Manchester.

“They need to get him out of the club.”
