James Bond star ‘No Time to Die script unputdownable, massive surprises will really SHOCK’

Next April, Daniel Craig’s fifth and final James Bond movie No Time To Die hits cinemas. Continuing where Spectre left off in 2015, the follow-up sees 007 in retirement having left MI6 and driven off into the sunset with Madeleine Swann. Now Moneypenny star Harris has teased how exciting the conclusion to Craig’s tenure as Bond will be. Speaking with GQ, the 43-year-old said of the script: “There was no putting it down, no stopping for anything.”

Harris continued: “It’s a tie-up of Skyfall and Spectre.

“But with massive, massive surprises that even had me like, ‘Oh, wow!’

“So I think we’re going to really shock people.”

On how Bond has changed in the post-MeToo era, she said: “I would say that he’s reconnected with his heart.

“We’re definitely seeing a Bond who’s more in touch with his feelings and more open to falling in love.

“At the end of Spectre there are women he gives his career up for.”

The star added: “There’s no more emotional attachment than that.

“It’s just about moving with the times and recognising that women can no longer be seen as eye candy.”

Meanwhile, the location of Craig’s Bond in the first No Time To Die poster has been deduced.

A couple of 007 news websites worked out that Bond is leaving a location that was filmed on the Pinewood Studios lot.

The set backdrop mocks up for a Cuban venue called Palacio Velazquez, which Prince Charles was snapped by during his visit to Pinewood earlier this year.

No Time To Die Bond girl Ana de Armas, who plays Paloma, is Cuban – so perhaps this is where Craig’s 007 first comes across her.

Cuba is just north of Jamaica, where Bond has retired to in No Time To Die before Felix Leiter seeks his help.

The official synopsis of No Time To Die reads: “James Bond has left active service when his friend Felix Leiter enlists his help in the search for a missing scientist.

“When it becomes apparent that the scientist was abducted, Bond must confront a danger the likes of which the world has never seen before.”

Is Paloma this kidnapped scientist and the reason that Bond finds himself in Cuba, or is she a femme fatale?

No Time To Die will be released in UK cinemas on April 2, 2020.
