Strictly Come Dancing 2019: Dianne Buswell warns co-star routine could be 'absolute mess'

Strictly Come Dancing 2019 is testing pro dancers and their celeb counterparts to the max with advanced choreographed routines accompanied by tricky footwork. Pro dancer Dianne Buswell, 30, has revealed what she’s most worried about this week as she and celebrity partner Dev Griffin, 34, dance to Aladdin for movie week.

In a clip from rehearsals shown on BBC It Takes Two, Dianne said: “We have so much synchronicity involved in this dance that if one of us is not in sync the whole thing can look an absolute mess.”

“I didn’t think it but the street commercial choreography is a lot,” Dev added.

“The character, the story of this dance is very important, if I’m just worrying about he steps I’m not sure if thats going to come across.”

“I just going to bring it this weekend!”

The couple made it through to movie week leaving fans eagerly anticipating what they’d be dancing to next.

On Monday Dianne tweeted: “What an amazing day I am soooo excited to do this dance. But we need to work so so hard so we pull it of on Saturday night !!!! It’s hard even for me,” alongside a monkey emoji.

Users were quick to support the 30-year-old with one replying: “It’s going to be such a exciting week. Its one if the lovely things about strictly the range of dances you do even the pros get to learn new stuff.”

Another tweeted: “Hope you have an amazing week training!! can’t wait to see it.”

Others joked: “Oh god as if your street routine last year didn’t stress me out enough already. but I’m looking forward to seeing this on Saturday!”

On Monday’s It Takes Two, the 47-year-old rower made an emotional tribute to his time on Strictly after he admitted he struggled to learn the steps due to his brain injury from an accident that almost claimed his life.

In July 2010 James was attempting to cycle, row, run and swim from Los Angeles to New York within 18 days but was thrown from his bike when he was hit from behind by a petrol tanker in Arizona.

The moving speech left fans “crying” as he described his injuries had a serious impact on his memory, ability to learn and also left him with epilepsy and changes to his personality.

As Luba praised him, viewers at home took to Twitter to share their heartfelt responses to James’ honest remarks.

One wrote: “Omg.. I’m crying at James and Luba on #ItTakesTwo even though I agree with the decision.

“I’d be so gutted to be first out yet he was so humble.”

But with one celebrity gone there are still 14 stars left, all hoping to impress the judges further this week and build on their scores – could Dianne and Dev be in trouble on Sunday night?

Strictly Come Dancing 2019 will continue on Saturday evenings at 7:10pm on BBC One.
