Emmerdale resident Rishi Sharma (played by Bhasker Patel) has not had the easiest of times recently after the business he had built from scratch burnt to the ground in an explosion earlier this summer. Having taken out a loan from Kim Tate (Claire King), he was unable to make the repayments and subsequently had to hand over his share in the company
But it seems his fate has been sealed following this week’s episodes when he was caught in the crossfire of a health and safety scandal.
Will he end up dead as Manpreet Sharma (Rebecca Sarker) strikes in an ultimate twist of betrayal?
It comes after Rishi decided to set up his own chocolate company in his kitchen and after successfully creating a varied selection of sweet treats he set out to the village in hope of drumming up some customers.
Turning his attention to the local shops and restaurants, he persuaded David (Matthew Wolfenden) to offer them to his customers.

But when one customer, Tommy Cannon suddenly died, an investigation took place to find out what was the cause was.
And Rishi found himself in trouble with the authorities for not having a health and safety certificate for producing goods outside the factory.
However, wife Manpreet came to the rescue and got him out of the difficult situation when she paid off the inspector.
And viewers were surprised to find out where she had got the money to pay him off from.
In another scene, Manpreet had a quiet word with the health and safety officer and gave him £1500 to stop him from telling the authorities about Rishi’s lack of certificate.
But what is she going to do with the other few thousand pounds?
There is a strong possibility Manpreet could kill Rishi off in order to scarper with the money and start afresh.
After all, Rishi has paid off all of her debts which she accumulated from her shopping addiction so now there is no reason for her to stick around in the village.
Killing Rishi could be the perfect exit for Manpreet, but will she go as far? Especially considering she is a doctor, it would be very easy to cover the murder.
Elsewhere in the village, Nate Robinson (Jurell Carter) and Moira Barton (Natalie J. Robb) have kick started their affair again.
The pair have been sleeping together for the last few months, but Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) is going to find out.
