Karren Brady: The Apprentice star responds awkwardly as Claude Littner calls her 'sexy'

Karren Brady, 50, has worked alongside Claude Littner, 70, since 2009 when she first joined The Apprentice as one of 72-year-old Lord Sugar’s aides.

In a recent interview with Radio Times, the pair opened up on how they first got to know each other, leading to a rather cheeky revelation on the part of businessman Claude.

“It was quite a long time ago,” he recalled.

“Decades, won’t it be, Claude?” she chipped in, prompting him to reply: “Yeah.

“I’ve always thought that Karren’s very sexy, so I think that that was my first thought!” he admitted.

Karren burst out laughing as he continued: “I just think, right from the off, we got on very, very well.

“On The Apprentice, you don’t often see the three of us laughing or anything like that, but we are good friends.

“We spend time together — obviously on the show, but outside of it as well,” he said.

However, when Karren was asked if she had a similar thought upon her first meeting with Claude as he did, she simply paused.

“Karren, you did. You did!” he insisted, as she laughed: “Hmmm…”

“Say yes, please,” he begged jokily.

Keeping things professional, she insisted her The Apprentice co-star was “great fun” and called him a “really good friend”.

This year, both Karren and Claude are back to flank Lord Sugar on the new series of The Apprentice, which kicks off tonight.

16 brand new candidates will be battling it out over the course of the series, hoping to avoid being fired by the business mogul and make it to the final.

The last two standing will compete for the £250,000 investment prize and the chance to call Lord Sugar their business partner.

The 15th series is bound to be just as full of triumphs and disasters as fans have become accustomed to over the years.

The first episode will see the candidates jet off to Cape Town, South Africa, where they are challenged with setting up and running bespoke tours.

Later in the series, they will be tested running a corporate away day on a steam train, designing a theme park ride using cutting edge technology and travelling to Finland to create an advertising campaign.

Meanwhile, Karren and Claude will be on-hand, watching the candidates’ every move and reporting back to Lord Sugar.

The Apprentice 2019 starts tonight at 9pm on BBC One.
